Job Description:

Scope Details
  • Customer has Mx7000 servers located in several data centers in the US and all need to have firmware updates. Customer does not have the staff or bandwidth to manage and resident will need to act on behalf of the customer to:
  • Understand the customer's change control process/requirements
  • Work with Dell customer support to coordinate, gather necessary information needed to schedule the firmware updates
  • Work with customer team members to schedule the updates and plan to work during this timeframe
  • Important to note - During the off hours the resource will work directly with the customer to determine the work schedule for that week. Resource will work 40 hours per week
  • If time permits, resident should work with the customer to assist with other day to day operational server activities for the balance of 24 weeks
The most important characteristic is finding someone:
  • Highly experienced with MX firmware updates
  • Knows how to guide the customer so no unexpected workload downtime
  • Advises the customer with best practices, including a contingency recovery plan before starting work.
